The Norwegian Networked University – a professional collaboration for flexible learning
Higher education in Norway is supposed to facilitate ICT-supported environments for work, focusing on student active learning methods and process oriented evaluation forms. This involves new challenges for teachers, like application of new methods and presentation of education in forms that allow exploitation of ICT as a tool both on the teaching and learning side.
Through the Norwegian Networked University (NNU), member institutions support each other in development of study programmes and the enhancement of networked education.
NNU promotes development of knowledge and competence within net based learning for its members.
Every year, NNU arranges a conference, aimed at gathering professionals with similar interests and presenting the latest findings within net based learning, exchanging experiences and laying the grounds for further collaboration and new projects.
Throughout the years, NNU has worked through different professional fora composed of representatives from several member institutions. The fora elaborate development projects, reports and proposals for external project funding.
NNU is a professional cooperative organization where member institutions establish meeting places and networks for mutual development of competence, and collaborate to develop study programmes and courses, as well as institutional development within net based education at an international level.
University Colleges and Universities all over the country are accepted as members of NNU.
